Case StudiesPricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) SUMMIT programHolloway Consulting partnered PwC over a period of 18 months to design, develop and deliver the PwC Summit program. It is a career review process for directors looking to take their final career progression to partner. They are assessed against global partner attributes in a variety of ways. The objective of the program is to:
After delivering the first two pilot programs Mandy instigated a model to create self sustainability – training about 20 partners to take the role she had taken in the pilots. This program continues to be delivered internally with great success.
Sydney WaterThis public sector organisation has progressed through significant change over the last few years and Mandy has been asked to facilitate one day change workshops with a significant number of people within Sydney Water. When their large IT project collapsed Mandy had the unenviable task of working with the dismantled and displaced project team. In an instant people had gone from having a secure position on a long term project to not knowing where their future lay. Using a variety of physical, reflective and discussion based activities Mandy received extremely positive feedback from participants. They recorded comments like:
“Mandy’s approach was great. She spoke to us about her own personal issues which I feel helped us to share our own.”
Pacific NationalMandy was asked to facilitate a two day workshop for a divisional executive team within Pacific National. They wanted a focus of “towards operational excellence” and needed to do some business planning as well as team building. By the end of the residential workshop participants were thrilled to have clarity on where they wanted to be and how they were going to get there. They also had greater clarity on how they could work together more effectively as a cohesive team. They left the workshop totally committed to their well thought out plans.
Institute of Chartered Accountants in AustraliaHolloway Consulting partnered the ICAA to re-design their Public Practice Program. We recruited passionate and highly skilled people into our project team and designed and developed a program that has successfully combined self-directed and experiential learning. This program has 5 self directed units and unit 6 is a highly experiential 2 day workshop. The feedback from participants has been overwhelmingly positive. Holloway Consulting has continued to partner the ICAA by training and supporting the on-going National PPP Delivery team, of which Mandy Holloway is a member. Together, we are inspiring the future leaders of the accounting industry to build the strong leadership capabilities they need to take the industry into the future.
Executive CoachingMandy Holloway specialises in coaching emerging leaders. She finds these business people open to learning, willing to challenge their habits and committed to being the kind of leader they really want to be. Mandy guides these people she coaches and brings a level of discipline to their thinking so they can identify their “personal summit” and capitalise on their personal strengths. She recently coached a young woman in PwC, who within 6 months of the start of their journey was invited to join the partnership. This young woman challenged herself, identified her strengths and developed a focus that allowed her to bring passion and purpose into everything she did. Another senior woman said – “I started my coaching sessions with Mandy as part of the Chief Executive Women’s Programme. When we first met, we agreed on the set up, expectations and outcomes that I wanted from the following 5 sessions and they have been surpassed! Mandy has a great semi structured way of working through the traditional GROW model and was able to effectively maintain a flow that made sense as our conversations changed course. Through the coaching sessions I not only confirmed my values, aspirations and learning preference but gained absolute clarity on what I wanted in my career and at home – my whole of life was my focus. Through disciplined thought and attention to me as a leader and as an individual, I am now completely at ease with what is and what can be and trust my intuition more. I have realised how much I have grown and strongly encourage others in their own development and learning. I understand the power of reflection and the need to allocate time to think about yourself and what your priorities are. Mandy is not just an Executive Coach, she is a lovely person, has business credibility and is someone you can relate to in an intellectual and social manner. This makes the process of coaching a particularly pleasant one and one I valued greatly.” | |
